No.1 Violin String

  • The No.1 E-string has a coated carbon steel core material with a high-tensile strength and is wound with a very thin chrome steel flat-wire.

  • As the No.1 E-string is wound with chrome steel, it is long-lasting. Chrome steel cannot corrode and is not affected by hand perspiration.

The No.1 E-string is a newly designed string that offers a full rounded off and sustainable tone in all positions, whilst at the same time maintaining full flexibility over the whole dynamic range.

This string is based on a coated carbon steel core material with a high-tensile strength and is wound with a very thin chrome steel flat-wire.
Outstanding features are the string's brilliant yet sweet sound, the outstandingly easy response preventing the whistling of the empty strings.
The No.1 E-string has been specifically designed to be "universal" and can be matched with all existing A-, D- and G-strings.
